Ginger Rush Coffee

When we saw this Ginger Rush Coffee recipe by @goldenbrown.coffee we thought, this is something we have to try… with a Beanies twist!

And what a perfect time to whip up this refreshing drink: a HOT Friday afternoon in the middle of June. With temperatures set to hit 29 degrees this weekend, hot coffee is not cutting it!

3 ingredients we didn’t think would go together: Ginger Beer, Espresso and Double Cream! But we have tried and tested this recipe in house and we wouldn’t lie to you, it does make for a tasty, cooling, treat!

As flavoured coffee experts, we have deemed the flavour of this coffee, unique yet one we would try again! The cream cuts through the harsh, bitterness of the ginger beer, leaving a subtle but spicy tingle on the tongue.

Now, at Beanies, we’re all about flavour. We couldn’t use unflavoured, boring coffee in this recipe, so to pack more punch, we made our Ginger Rush with Beanies’ Sweet Cinnamon flavoured instant coffee! But you can use any flavour you like! And if you crave the plain, the traditional, why not use Beanies’ Espresso flavoured instant coffee?!

The best part of this recipe, excluding the taste, was the speed it took to make! No more than 5 minutes and boy does it look good: those layers, wow!

So if you have a spare 5 minutes this weekend and need a cooling boost, why not give Ginger Rush a go following the 3 steps below!

Methode

1. Fill roughly a third of your mug/ glass with ginger beer.
2. Pour in your instant coffee, carefully and over the back of a spoon to layer it on top of the ginger beer. TOP TIP: Make sure the very end of the spoon is touching the surface of the ginger beer and that the spoon is at an angle.
3. Repeat step 2 with the double cream. There should be 3 clear layers. (Don’t worry if there isn’t, it will still taste the same!)
