Macadamia Nut Coffee Crumble
It’s officially cosy season, which means it’s the perfect time for homemade crumble! Why not switch it up a little this Autumn and swap the basic apple for Macadamia Nut coffee crumble?
It’s sweet, it’s energising, and it’s full of love! A hug in a mug, poured into a crumble!
Method for the crumble filling:
1. Start by peeling the apples, then removing the cores and slice into thin
slices.
2. Add these to a small oven-safe skillet with 1 tsp of butter. Saute these lightly
until the apples are browning and a little soft.
3. Drizzle over the coffee and stir together.
4. Turn off the heat and let it cool for a couple of minutes while you prepare
the topping.
Method for the crumble topping and assembly:
1.Preheat the oven to 180C fan assisted.
2. In a large bowl add the cold butter and flour. Rub these together, until the
mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
3. Stir through the sugar.
4. Pour this mixture over the apples in the oven-safe skillet.
5. Place the oven-safe skillet into the oven to bake for around 25-30 minutes.
When the top starts to go golden brown it’s cooked.
